The NBA Player Injury Report

The NBA Injury Report

The NBA injury report is an essential tool for every team. Injuries to key starters or reserves can change the way the team functions during a game. A team typically plays 10 to 12 players per season, so losing one player can make the entire rotation change. In addition, a player’s absence can force others to play more minutes than they otherwise would.

Ben Simmons is experiencing back soreness

While Ben Simmons is not likely to miss any games this season, his back ailment has slowed him down in recent weeks. According to ESPN, the problem is a irritated L4 disk in the lower back, and the team hopes he can play two to three regular-season games. Multiple orthopedists, however, told The Post that he was unlikely to return in time for the postseason, saying he’ll need an epidural and off-season surgery.

Robert Williams III is dealing with a knee injury

Boston Celtics point guard Robert Williams III is dealing with a knee problem. He tore his meniscus during the regular season and underwent surgery. He missed four games in Brooklyn and three in Milwaukee before returning to play the final two games. After his recovery, Williams played in both Game 1 and Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Andrew Bogut has a partially torn labrum in his right shoulder

Andrew Bogut has a partially torrn labrum in his right shoulder, which will keep him out for the rest of the season. The injury he suffered during a game against the Los Angeles Lakers on February 20 will be his third since the injury. The last time he missed a game was in 2010 when he tore his right labrum. Bogut has since recovered to play in the NBA, but he has never returned to his previous elite level of play. The Bucks’ first-round playoff exit was a disappointment, and Bogut’s absence is only extending the pain of the loss.

Michael Porter is dealing with back issues

Michael Porter is dealing with back issues and his team has not made an official statement. The NBA injury report does not list the specific injury, but it is clear that Porter has been dealing with back issues for a while. He has had two back surgeries, the first during his one-and-done season at Missouri and the second during his rookie season, which forced him to miss most of the season. As a result, Porter is seeking second opinions and is currently under treatment.

Danilo Gallinari has a torn Lisfranc in his right foot

The Boston Celtics have learned that point guard Danilo Gallinari has torn the Lisfranc ligament in his right foot. He suffered the injury in a game against Georgia. Gallinari may have to undergo surgery to repair the damage. The injury will likely keep him out for several weeks or months.

James Wiseman is expected to return to action on Tuesday

The Warriors are hopeful to have James Wiseman back at some point in this season after missing much of the previous two seasons due to injury. The rookie center has missed all but one game this season but is expected to play in two games next week before the All-Star break. The Warriors are currently in second place in the Western Conference and are in desperate need of size and talent at the center position. Although Kevon Looney is an excellent starter at center, they have very little depth at that position. Wiseman’s return to action is expected to help the Warriors’ cause as they are looking for another big piece to their puzzle.

Danilo Gallinari will miss the entire 2022-2023 season

The Boston Celtics have lost one of their most important players as a free agent, Danilo Gallinari. He tore his meniscus in April 2013 and missed the rest of the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. After recovering from his injury, the former San Antonio Spurs forward signed a two-year, $13.3 million deal with the Celtics. In return for Gallinari, the Celtics acquired a 2023 first-round pick from the Atlanta Hawks in a trade for Dejounte Murray.
